Chocolate Chilli Recipe

by Suz
(Cotswolds, UK)

This Chocolate Chilli recipe has been passed down the family and is really easy to make.

Ingredients:

Mince beef
Tins of tomatoes
onion
Tin of kidney beans
Chilli powder
Cocoa powder

Fry the onion in a little oil and then add the mince beef to brown, when it has add the tins of tomatoes and the chilli powder, let that cook for a bit and then add the cocoa powder - a couple of spoons if you want your chilli dark and rich.

The quantities for the recipe have always been left to the cook, I like it with 2 spoons of cocoa powder whereas my husband likes it with just the 1! Plus the amount of chilli powder is also subject to individuals taste.

This is a yummy favourite chilli recipe in our house!
