Chocolate chip Cookie recipes are as plentiful and delicious as chocolate cakes. They are the favorite of the homemade cookie recipes and can be prepared with many different ingredients. They can be made as a drop cookie, a rolled cookie or bar cookie recipe.

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES (with M&M’s)


  • 3 Eggs
  • ½ Pound brown sugar
  • 1 Cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 Teaspoon honey
  • ¼ Pound real butter
  • ¾ Pound crunchy peanut butter
  • 2 Teaspoons baking soda
  • 4 ½ Cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • ¼ Pound chocolate chips
  • ¼ Pound M&M candies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together .THERE IS NO FLOUR IN THIS RECIPE. Drop by a teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for approximately 10 minutes or until done. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Remove from oven and cool.



CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES (bars with mint)


  • 1 Cup Lorna Doone Shortbread cookies, crushed fine
  • ¼ Cup melted butter
  • 1 Cup flaked coconut
  • 1 Cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 Cup chopped pecans
  • 4 Drops peppermint oil
  • 1 Can sweetened condensed milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix crumbs with melted butter, and press into bottom of 7x11 inch baking pan. Add a layer of the coconut, then a layer of the chocolate chips, then a layer of the pecans.

Add the peppermint oil to the condensed milk and mix well. Spoon milk evenly over dry mixture. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, being careful not to overbake.

Remove to rack and cool.


ICING:

  • 2 Squares semi-sweet chocolate
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 Drops peppermint oil

In double boiler, melt chocolate with butter. Add peppermint oil. Spread evenly baked bars. Refrigerate until set. Cut into bars with a sharp knife.






CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES (Sugar free)


  • 1 Beaten egg
  • ½ Cup chocolate chips
  • 1 Cup flour
  • ½ Teaspoon soda
  • ¼ Teaspoon salt
  • ½ Cup butter
  • 4 Teaspoons liquid sugar substitute
  • ½ Teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Cream butter, sugar substitute, vanilla and egg together. Add sifter flour, soda and salt mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoons onto a greased baking sheet. Bake approximately 10 minutes or until set.

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES (with cashews)


  • 2 Cups sifted flour
  • 1 Teaspoon baking powder
  • ¾ Teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ Teaspoon salt
  • ½ Cup soft butter
  • 1 Cup brown sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ Cup sour cream
  • ½ Cup chocolate chips
  • 1 ½ Cups chopped cashews

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets.

Cream together butter, sugar, egg, sour cream and vanilla. Sift together all dry ingredients and add to the cream mixture. Add the nuts and chocolate chips and blend thoroughly together.

Drop by a teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or golden brown. Cool and frost.


Icing

  • 2 Cups powder sugar
  • 4 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 Tablespoons cream
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla

Cream ingredients together and spread on cooled cookies.


Chocolate chip cookie recipes are great for any occassion. You can make them for the holidays by adding dried fruit pieces, raisins or coconut and you can dress them up with various icing recipes.
