As a kid me and my friends would bike to Phil & Jerry's (right around the corner from Monkey Millers) and get giant sweet tarts and Verners to drink (it was good back then...).
I'm sorry to hear of your husband passing - but his store is permanently part of my fondest childhood memories Anne!
