HOW TO COOK CRAPPIE BAKED 

Clean about 3 pounds fish, season and brush with oil. Bake in a hot oven at 400F degrees for thirty minutes. Garnish with cucumber slices, parsley or lemon wedges to serve.


BAKED EEL

Cut fish into 2 or 3 inch pieces. Wash in salted water and dry thoroughly. Dredge in flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Place in a buttered baking dish and add ½ cup water. Cover and bake in a hot oven 400F degrees for 20 minutes or until eel is browned. (May need to uncover in end to brown a little)


GARLIC BUTTER BAKED FISH

  • 2 Pounds crappie, eel or other fish fillets
  • ½ Cup melted butter
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ Teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 Cup crushed corn flakes
  • Salt/pepper

Preheat oven to 350F degrees.

Combine the melted butter, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper. Crush corn flakes until very fine. Dip fish fillets into the butter mixture and them roll it into the corn flakes. Arrange fish in a greased casserole dish. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the fish flakes when touched.


FISH CASSEROLE is a simple crappie recipe

  • 2 Pounds fish fillets
  • ½ Cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Can cream of celery soup
  • ¼ Can water
  • 2 Cups stuffing mix
  • ½ Cup melted butter
  • Salt/ pepper

Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.

Butter a shallow casserole dish. Arrange the fish fillets on the bottom of dish. Salt and pepper fish. Spread the stuffing mix over the fish. Combine and blend the soup and water until smooth; Pour over the stuffing mix. Drizzle the melted butter over the top. Bake until fish is done and flakes when touched.


SPICY GARLIC CRAPPIE RECIPE

  • ¼ Cup olive oil
  • 3 Large cloves garlic (Peel and slice)
  • ½ Teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
  • 1 Pound crappie fillets

Heat olive oil, garlic and pepper flakes in a large skillet over medium high heat.

Stir and sauté for about 2 minutes; add crappie.

Cook a few minutes until bottom browns slightly; turn over and brown on other side.

When fish is thoroughly cooked place on plate; drizzle garlic and pepper oil over fish.
