The first thing to know when learning how to make appetizers is just what is an appetizer. ROAST GARLIC RECIPE FOR SPREAD

Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
Cut heads of garlic in half; place 2 sprigs thyme and ¼ teaspoon rosemary between garlic halves.
Wrap garlic in 2 thicknesses of foil and place in oven for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven, unwrap and cool; peel garlic.
Place grated cheese and herb roasted garlic in food processor and process briefly.
Add ground pepper and 2 tablespoons olive oil.
Process until smooth and creamy adding more oil if needed.
Garnish with pink and green peppercorns.
Serve in crock with toasted bread.
HOMEMADE BOURSIN CHEESE RECIPE
Combine all ingredients and beat with electric mixer until smooth.
Refrigerate to give added firmness; garnish with parsley
Serve with assorted crackers.
HOT CRAB DIP RECIPE
Combine and mix all ingredients in saucepan; heat over medium low stirring until smooth.
Serve hot; serves 8 to 10.
